FREE PATTERN: Chubby Marshmallow Crochet Pattern!

HELLO! My first free crochet pattern post will be of this little adorable Chubby Marshmallow!  In the past, I made a bunch of these for sell or to give away and now, I’d like to share this cute character with with all of you!  The pattern itself is really quick, simple and perfect for beginners!

 

Level: Easy Peasy

MATERIALS NEEDED:

3.5 mm crochet hook
White acrylic Yarn – I used Lion Brand’s Vanna’s Choice in White – 100
6mm safety eyes
Black embroidery thread
Darning needle
Polyester stuffing (or scrap yarn)
Keychain

ABBREVIATIONS (in US crochet terms): 

MC – magic circle
sts – stitches
sc – single crochet
sc-inc – single crochet increase
sc-dec – single crochet decrease
(…) – repeat everything within bracket

Pattern:

R1: MC 6                       (6 sts)
R2: (sc-inc) x 6             (12 sts)
R3: (sc, sc-inc) x 6       (18 sts)
R4: sc 18                      (18 sts)
R5: sc 18                      (18 sts)
R6: sc 18                      (18 sts)
R7: sc 18                      (18 sts)
R8: sc 18                      (18 sts)
R9: sc 18                      (18 sts) –  after this row, start sewing on mouth before closing
R10: (sc, sc-dec) x 6    (12 sts) –  stuff with polyester fibre
R11: (sc-dec) x 6         (6 sts)
Fasten off.

*Insert safety eyes between R6 and R7

OPTIONAL
– Add a bit of blush with ink (some people like to use actual blush for human for a more natural look).
– Use a darning needle to sew on a mouth (optional)
